A family company that builds screen enclosures — and stands behind every one of them.
Our story
Adam Brown spent nearly a decade building aluminum enclosures and outdoor living spaces across Florida before the 2008 housing crash pulled him out of the trade and into a 14-year career in medical sales. Construction never left him — his father was a general contractor, and he grew up on job sites. In 2023 he came back to the work he loves and founded Screen'D In, and the company began building in earnest in January 2024.
Today Screen'D In is a true family operation: Adam's son Dylan handles the company's content and customer experience, his son Logan works on the production side, and chief operating officer Jeff Ballou — who has built and sold multiple home-service companies of his own — runs the day to day. Office manager Ashley Mercado, with six years in the construction industry, keeps every project moving from first call to final walkthrough.
What we stand for
“Craftsmen of Character” isn't a slogan; it's how we choose people, and the standard. For us it means three things:

We also invest in our people beyond the job site, because the character of the company is just the character of the people in it.

Our screen work is installed by the Screen'D In team. That's deliberate: it's how we control quality, honor timelines, and stand behind a warranty without finger-pointing.
In the community
We're active members of the Northeast Florida Builders Association and hold two seats in our BNI chapter, and much of our team worships together at The Church of Eleven22. We're building a formal give-back program now — and we'll only put it on this page when it's real.
